Not for Children: A Musical Revue of Women Behaving Badly
ABOUT THE EVENT
In this clever and slightly wicked cabaret, vocalist Mary Siebert and pianist Robert Rocco will lace unexpected songs together, style-hopping and exposing tongue-in-cheek similarities from the perspective of the worldly-wise “woman of a certain age.” During the show, which is recommended for adults only, you’ll have the opportunity to purchase and enjoy food from Muddy Creek Café’s delicious menu – including hot and cold sandwiches, salads, soups, and desserts – as well as draft beer, wine, and snacks from their bar. You are also invited to start the evening at Muddy Creek’s weekly 6:30 open mic on the Café’s porch.
Ms. Siebert, a veteran professional soloist of opera, musical theater and jazz who now works as Arts Director for The Arts Based School, describes the evening as an opportunity to “swing back to the dark side.” The cabaret will include selections by George Bizet, Kurt Weill, Stephen Sondheim, Cy Coleman, and many more.
Music includes selections by: Henry Purcell, Richard Rodgers, George Bizet, Cole Porter, Kurt Weill, Stephen Sondheim, Seymour Barab, Joe McCoy, Giacomo Rossini, Leonard Bernstein, Lester Judson, Alessandro Scarlatti, William Bolcom, Cy Coleman, Ed Candor, and more.
